A good friend of mine just moved to a lovely little neighborhood on the water and, this past weekend she invited us to the block party there. What a charming area and, so happy for my friend's new "diggs". The weather for the evening was absolutley gorgeous, the food was over the top, the people who live there could have not been friendlier and made us feel so welcomed. Hmmmm....is there a house on that street for sale?.......back to the event, 
As the sun lowers in the sky one by one the neighbors starts setting up their tables outside on the street near the water's edge (I heard they kept pearing out their windows to see if anyone had started to set up as they were all anxious to mark their spot and get the festivites going.) Each house takes special pride in designing their table with the right candles, color scheme, theme, the perfect floral design and, topped it all off with good friends and family to dine with.The food was over the top. I think I enhaled my dinner....there was lobster, clams, mussels. corn on the cob, baked potatoe and, even steak. Which I said I won't eat the steak since being on the salt water I wanted to keep the seafood genre going well....... I enhaled the steak too! Not surprising from THIS girl who LOVES to eat.
So Dining outside on your patio or in your home take the time in making the perfect table setting, even something simple will makes all the difference in the world for your family and friends. Enjoy these last few days of summer and, send me a photo of your table setting.
