This wonderful email came through to me. I usually don't open random ones that I don't recognize however, I think the "universe" was telling me to read and share this. A New Word for the New Year
As new year day rang in I settled down with a cup of tea and my favorite morning news show. The first segment featured a motivational speaker. His encouragement for the new year was to find one word that is special just for you and, try to address that word at the start of each day. He emphasized not to stress over figuring out what your word would be, it will come to you. For me, the word love popped right into my head, then within a couple of minutes it morphed into the word LIVE. Now every morning, which has only been two, I wake up thinking of ....live.
My word, Live, fits perfectly within my mantra and belief of interior design. Your interiors should be comfortable, inviting and, rise up to meet you so you can LIVE your best life. I am going to live every day with more love, gusto, determination, joy and, all with ease and peace. Not that I didn't already try and live well everyday however, I'm going to ramp it up a little. With the holidays over, sad to see them go but a little relieved because, I can' t LIVE in a state of euphoria and relaxation forever ............I got to get back in the game and, I feel better working. Maybe because I took almost two weeks off!
With the arrival of 2014 think of a word that comes to you, write it down,( as my hair dresser once told me ...if you ink it you think it) and, try to address it everyday .....see what happens in a year. You may say that's a long time but, you know how that goes .....poof all of a sudden it'll be 2015. Attach the piece of paper with your word on it to your December 2014 calendar and next New Years eve see how you did with your word. Don t stress, just do the best you can. Reflect over the past year and see how your life evolved incorporating your word.
