FUN at New York Gift Show 2013

                 NY  GIFT SHOW

The most beautiful  Iron Faux flowers I have ever seen. These would look perfect in a traditional or contemporary setting. Stunning quality!

How about  seaglass colored  accessories on your well maintained desk. I just LOVE this... clean, fresh and, well designed. Bungalow 5

Best Basket Source!!
Mirrors Mirrors and more gorgeous Mirrors.
Which one would look great in your house. The metal detail on this one is so interesting. How about this in your powder room. All your guests would be talking about it and you would look fabulous in your reflection.
Stool, little side table, tea table, etc.
Going to the Dogs.  A little fun and whimsy really helped make my day when I was on the 11th hour of walking over 5 miles at the Javits Center.  This would be an easy dog to take care of? This company has some of my favorite products, Gold Leaf Designs.

HERE COMES SPRING!! Fun Fresh and vibrant colors. I'm all for it. These are outdoor rugs which could also be used in bathrooms, back door entry or, mudroom. Very durable and washable. This year they added laundry and storage baskets

Wax is HOT and so was the encaustic art opening at +Amy Simon Art gallery in Westport, CT...amysimonfineart.com. The process of encaustic painting dates back to 100 AD. Encaustic is produced by heating  bees wax, to which colored pigments are added, then the liquid paste is applied to many types of surfaces. The original process has evolved over time especially with the resurgence in the 1990 s.

Having been an Art History minor..... I was introduced to encaustic painting however, it has been many years.....so when I met +Charyl Weissbach charylweissbachfineart.com and saw her intriguing encaustic paintings I was in awe...........they're beautiful and so rich .

Charyl Weissbach

Jeri Eisenberg had the most interesting art. Her pieces are made of archival pigment ink on Kozo paper and,  infused with an encaustic medium..........these triptych pieces of art are serene and beautifully installed on a simple metal bar with a magnet. Just the perfect clean lined art that could grace any home or office.

The lines in this encaustic represents the memory of the holocaust
So beautiful are the colors of the background I feel as if  it is giving us  HOPE

Photos, Art and, Frames

Art and Photos are one of the most important pieces in the design of a room because, they are at eye level and therefore the first to be seen.

Accessorizing around art can bring out the colors and compliment the space perfectly

Whether large or small the composition comes together with the same finish on the frames.

In my clients very long hallway I was able to make the journey more enjoyable by placing photos of her children and grouping them together in silver frames in one home and black frames  in another.

These are my client's treasures of colleges attended and his favorite sport of golfing at St Andrews. Grouped together they  made the perfect story  where as before they were separated, each one on a different wall. Remember to always tell a story in the composition of art on your walls.
