Moving with Help of a Professional Interior Designer

I was recently hired to help move a couple from a condo into a home. Their family was growing with grandhchildren and their present space did not accomodate the growth, the natural light was too dark and, the space did not match the lovlieness of the client and her joy of entertaining and sharing time with their loved ones during holidays, birthdays and other special family events.

Lined interlined and trim galore

Beautiful trim and 2 fabrics make this treatment special

Farrow & Ball color story by TR Design

Their new home is very special with a beautiful view over a pond, large spaces in the common areas and, most importantly great natural light, which we all know makes us happier and feeling up-lifted. The job was in three phases. First, I designed a plan for them as to what exsisting furniture, accessories and, window treatments were to be installed in the client's new home. I measured all their furnishings... imagine that....tedious but so important. After the measurements I designed each room with a floor plan placing all furniture and accessories in their new home. I have done this many times for various clients around the New England area and, although it can be an overwhelming for the client with my services I make the whole moving process operate smoothly and efficiently. It is extremely helpful for a client to have some of the burden of deciding what to bring, what to eliminate and, where everything is going to be placed taken over by a professional. I was also able to bring in my Terri Reilly Design Group which is made of the best of the best sub contractors in which I manage the team. I provided the client with a Cleaning Service, Carpet Installer, Floor Finisher and, Window Treatment Installer. All my client's window treatments will fit beautifully into various rooms with just a little alteration. I was thrilled for the client because the window treatments are gorgeous fabrics, lined and, interlined with trim. This client has great taste and appreciates quality design. The best part of this whole project for me besides making their new House their new Home was, I specified all +Farrow and Ball paint for the entire house. Farrow and Ball paint is the best of the best paint with up to 30% more pigment which reads more depth of color made with fina china clay products as opposed to plastic fillers and, up to 30% more coverage....do I sound like an advertisement-you "betcha" I LOVE this paint and its unmatchable. I don't usually show the nitty gritty of my work but I attached the color specification sheet over the blue print for my client's home so you can see what the over all color story is along with notes of measurements etc. My client's official move in date is tomorrow so I will be on hand to discuss any changes of furniture placement, take photos, I can't wait to see all the F and B colors on the walls and next week we install the window treatmens. Stay tuned to see the final installation. I LOVE my job.......Home the most important place in the world..Terri
