Greenwich Market for Interior Designers

Products for the Fall Market at the Greenwich Designer show were endless. Most importantly the restaurant, Valbella, that provides the space and food is DEElightful. You have these handsome men in crisp white tux shirts, black pants, and what seems as a rich Italian accent fall over each designer as they enter delivering primo cappuccinos as you look through the products. Then a superb lunch is topped off with delizioso sweet desserts.
How can an interior designer go wrong in such a place that makes you feel like a queen for the day. Definitely well deserved as interior design is a lot of work, schlepping heavy books, 85% paper work ( as my good friend/ colleague Rachel reminds me of often),  meeting deadlines, making sure it fits down to the 16th of an inch, etc etc. I'm not complaining though.....I LOVE this industry and all my clients I have had over the years. But, it was  lovely to be taken care of for the afternoon by some very handsome men and primo food. Thank you Valbella.

The Greenwich show is always amazing....beautiful faux fur fabric at unbelievable price point by +Scalamandre.  +Lori Weitzner is designing for +Samuel and  Sons Passementerie/Trim..   Her new bauble trim is unique and unmatchable. Her creative mind never ceases to amaze me. The new collection of Melodia wallpaper is  a symphony of handmade textures of mulberry tree bark and abaca fiber along with exquisite vinyls. Yes I said vinyls...only + Lori Weitzner could make them look attractive with quality.

Jim Thompson another one of my favorite fabric companies has beautiful and again amazing price point fabrics for the fall market. Jim Thompson used to travel south east Asia for inspiration. Look at his beautiful sheers on line,  No 9 division of JY is a happy combination of linens and cotton ready for Spring.

The icing on the cake for the show was the rugs......in the  past years at this designer event they haven't had rugs however, this time it was a nice touch to have a product that usually finishes the room. Beautiful silk and wool combinations, or all silk, cut pile, hooked and, patterns galore that could satisfy your traditional or contemporary client.
